Dr Fiona Fairbrother

Dr Fiona Fairbrother is a specialist psychiatrist with expertise in general adult psychiatry, women's mental health, and sports psychiatry. She completed her medical degree at the University of Queensland in 2010 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) in 2018.

Dr Fairbrother provides compassionate, evidence-based care for adults experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related disorders, PTSD/cPTSD, and psychotic illnesses. She takes a holistic approach to assessment and treatment, recognising the biological, psychological, and social factors that influence mental health and wellbeing.

A key area of Dr Fairbrother's practice is women's mental health, with particular interest in the ways mental health evolves across significant life transitions. She also has expertise in sports psychiatry, supporting athletes and individuals involved in sport to optimise both mental health and performance.

Dr Fairbrother believes in working collaboratively with her patients to develop personalised treatment plans that reflect their goals, values, and individual circumstances. She values a multidisciplinary model of care and works closely with general practitioners, psychologists, and other health professionals to provide coordinated, comprehensive care that supports long-term wellbeing.
